A checklist before you complete the form…

The closing date for all applications for our pilgrimage this year is 30th April 2025

Step 1

Provide your medical information

You will be asked for information about any medical conditions, disabilities or mobility issues. Once approved by the Medical Team you will progress to Step 2.

Step 2

Provide your personal information

You will submit personal information, passport details, information about travel and accommodation in Lourdes, and pay the pilgrimage levy of £50 per pilgrim booked.

Passport Style Photo

We produce an ID badge for all pilgrims, so make sure you have a photo to upload (you can smile!)

Your Group

If you’re travelling with a group, make sure you have the group leaders email so we can match you together. Alternatively, link yourself to your parish or school by selecting them during this application.

Where you’re staying

Make sure you’ve decided which hotel and what kind of room you want to stay in, as well as any sharers!

A Valid Passport

Your passport must be issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country and valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave France.

Travel Insurance Details

Travel Insurance is included in the Tangney Tours package. If you are travelling independently you will need to have your own travel insurance and share these details with us in order to travel on the pilgrimage. You will also need your GHIC/EHIC card details.

Don’t have a free GHIC card? Get one here!

Medical Information

During the registration process, all relevant medical information must be disclosed. Please note that Assisted Pilgrim places will only be confirmed at least 3 weeks from completion.

Safeguarding on the Pilgrimage

With the carriage of the sick and involvement of youth participants, the Diocese of Westminster’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes, in compliance with CSSA guidelines, have comprehensive Codes of Conduct, Policies and Procedures to which all pilgrims must adhere for their own welfare and the welfare of others.

Pilgrimage Package Details

All prices include international travel (including airport or train transfers in France), full board accommodation on room-sharing basis and travel insurance arranged by the Pilgrimage Office with Tangney Tours as our Tour Operator. Please note, the insurance cannot be provided to the following: those aged 96 or over at the time of the pilgrimage; those not residing in the UK.

Please also note that the train cannot be selected for those with significant mobility issues.

If you are applying for the full pilgrimage package, once all details are received, the relevant information will be passed onto our Tour Operator, who will send you details for payment.

My time in Lourdes, serving as a chaplain, was transformative. It not only deepened my own faith but also ignited a desire to continue this path of service and spiritual growth.
